When is the best time to visit Uyuni?
The best season to visit Uyuni could be from March to May. Better climate, without masses, better prices, and landscapes that are not from this planet - the perfect mirror effect -
How is going to Uyuni in the Rainy Season
Known as the magic season of Uyuni, these months the rains and diversions of rivers cause the flooding of the Salar de Uyuni, creating a layer of water (from 1cm to 50cm) that provides the mirror effect so desired by many travelers, That is why this season is usually one of the busiest and highest in Uyuni (note: prices can double or triple).
How can I get to Uyuni?
The closest airport to get access to Bolivia’s highlands is El Alto International Airport in La Paz, which is connected with several other cities in South America as well as North American hubs such as Miami. From El Alto you can take buses or flights from international airlines to reach Uyuni town or the salt flats themselves.
