    Day 1 La Paz/Sajama National Park

    Start off your journey meeting at your accommodation in La Paz, headed to El Alto and Altiplano with Sajama National Park. Let the views of quaint villages, grazing animals, agricultural fields, and vast plains take your breath away as you travel through this magnificent Bolivian highland.

    When you arrive in Sajama National Park in the early afternoon, make sure to take in its lush surroundings – from natural hot springs and a queñua forest to incredible views of mountains – keep an eye out for sightings of flamingos, geese, vicuñas or any other Andean wildlife. End off the day with a cozy evening dinner according to what package you chose.

    Day 2 Sajama National Park/ Coipasa Salt Flats

    This morning, take your pick between a gorgeous hike or exploring the geyser field in Sajama. Afterwards, set off on a 4WD journey going south along the Chilean border and into Lauca National Park, a protected area on the other side of that border. Here you will be able to experience secluded Andean lagoons, towering volcanoes, an abundance of pre-Inca ruins, stunning views of the Bolivian Altiplano and its unique local fauna and flora. Catch sight of pink flamingos, salt plains and sand dunes as part of your exploration. Then settle down for a wonderful night’s rest in a nearby town.

    Day 3 Coipasa Salt Flats

    Today, continue your expedition south and make the most of all the exciting places you’ll pass. Begin with entering Salar de Coipasa, one of the first salt plains on this trip that was formerly a sea lake. Enjoy this natural wonder for yourself!

    In the afternoon, take a short hike to discover pre-Inca site which features funerary tombs dating back around 1,000 years old. If mummies aren’t your thing, simply take in the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding scenery and crisp air of the Altiplano.

    As evening approaches, you will arrive at your accommodation just meters from Salar de Uyuni’s salt in preparation for exploring its wonders tomorrow. Get ready for an unforgettable experience!

    In Rainy Season:

    Enjoy a thrilling journey south today as we visit an array of breathtaking places. Unfortunately, the Salar de Coipasa cannot be driven across but we can take the paved highway that circles around it instead. Make plenty of stops along the way to marvel at stunning lagoons, rock formations and picturesque lookout points. Finally, rest in your accommodation when you arrive in the evening.

    Day 4 Uyuni Salt Flats / Incahuasi Island

    Salar de Uyuni is well-known for its hexagon-shaped patterns and giant cactus islands! In the northern of the flats, where you spent the night before, be sure to check out Volcan Thunupa which provides a great chance to get active with some hiking along its base.

    Midday, take a break from driving and enjoy lunch in the midst of the salt flats as well as test your photography skills as you try to capture your most creative shots with props in tow if you wish. Then travel to Incahuasi Island and explore its towering cacti – there’s even an opportunity for a second mild hike up to the top for an unparalleled 360-degree view of the salt flat beauty.

    Finally, make your way to either southeastern  in order to check into one of the nearby hotels.

    Day 5 Lagoons/ Flamingos/

    This morning, it’s time to say goodbye to Salar de Uyuni and journey south into Eduardo Avaroa Reserve – a world of dramatic landscapes, colorful volcanoes and vast plains home to many Andean wildlife.

    Make sure you experience the lake series dubbed “Andean Jewels” where you can observe pink flamingos and other birds up close. Then continue on visiting intriguing places and lagoons that boast even more fauna and flora for your viewing pleasure. For an extra bonus (Plus package only), stop at Arbol de Piedra, a rock formation in the middle of the Siloli Desert, before heading over to Laguna Colorada which is aptly known as Red Lagoon. Enjoy this beautiful day!

    Day 6 Eduardo Avaroa Reserve

    Today we explore one of Bolivia’s most picturesque regions: Laguna Verde! Get ready to drive up to the trip’s highest point, Sol de Mañana – a boiling mud geyser field located at an impressive 5,000 meters.

    Take some time to relax in the natural hot springs of Polques (optional) and admire at the surreal rock formations of Dali Desert on your way there. Finally, arrive at Laguna Verde – the southwesternmost point of Bolivia – with its famous Licancabur Volcano standing proud in the background. Time to take some truly magnificent shots!
