ITINERARY    DAY

Day 1: Valle de la Luna / Laguna Cejar / Ojos del Salar / Tebenquiche

 

We begin the tour by picking you up from your hotel at 6:30am. The adventure starts from San Pedro de Atacama, visiting the REA – BOLIVIA (Reserve Eduardo Abaroa), Surrounded by mountains and volcanoes that reach more than 5,000 meters above sea level, where you will observe incredible landscapes as well as lagoons. Colors where breeding places for Andean flamingos are among other migratory birds that come for miles in its mineral-rich waters, enjoy a bath in its thermal waters, it is also one of the most important reserves of Flora and Fauna of Bolivian Altiplano. We arrive to the hostel by 5pm.

Day 2: Lagunas escondidas de Baltinache / Cordillera de Sal / Mirador Valle de la Muerte

 

Discover the Altiplano and it’s secrets! We cross by 4 wonderful lagoons, then discover the incredible Red Lagoon where we can observe the 3 rarest flamingo species in the world ending the day in the Siloli Desert. Keep en eye out for vicunas, as the roam through the landscapes. After an early breakfast 07:00, the group makes departs and crosses the Chiguana Salt Flats to visit Cañapa, Edionda, Onda and Blanca lagoons. Enjoy a nice picnic lunch in the middle of the desert around noon. Soon after by visiting Siloli Desert and million year old Tree Stone and finish day 2 head to the majestic and jaw dropping Red Lagoon. Arrive to San Juan town at 18:00 for dinner and rest.

Day 3: Tuyacto / Piedras Rojas / Lagunas Altiplanicas / Salar de Atacama

 

The third day tour we enter a place full of beauty, magic and adventure to see the sunrise, in a place that invites us to get in touch with the most rugged nature. Ideal for those who like photography and tourism adventure, more than 3,600 meters above sea level and with more than 12,000 km2 of surface, is the largest salt mirror in the world! Get ready for tons of photos! After sunrise, we visit Incahuasi Island, usually called Isla Pescado, located in the central part of the Salar de Uyuni. In it are the giant cactus Trichocereus pasacana that can reach more than 10 meters in height. It is also a great tourist center because from its top you can see the vastness of the salt flats of Uyuni. We then visit the salt Museum and the Colchani Village for some last minute souvenirs. We conclude the tour with a visit to the train cemetery. Climbing encouraged!
