    Day 1 Cusco/Tinqui/ Upis

    Get ready for an unforgettable experience! Start your journey at 6am in a private van to the majestic Mountain Ausangate. Make your way through remote villages, and across streams that will lead you to Upis. Take in the cozy cabins, a delectable lunch from our cook, and even have the option of waking up early to hike to Upis lake. As night falls, watch a star-filled sky and make memories that will last a lifetime!

    Day 2 Upis/Puca Cocha

    Start your day off with a hot cup of coca tea or coffee to your tent, and a delectable breakfast. Then ascend Arapa Pass (4968m), observing local farmers and alpacas, Ausangate snow-capped to your left side. Hear the knowledgeable English speaking guide explain the local flora, fauna, and landscape. If you’re lucky, you may spot condor, chinchillas, and vicuñas! Enjoy vibrant lakes as you make it to the stunning Puca Cocha campsite surrounded by high mountains and unbelievable hanging glaciers.

    Get cozy in the mountain huts set up for you to change and take a nap after lunch. Head to Puca Cocha Lake afterwards for sightings of many types of ducks, Andean geese, and other birds. End your day with a hearty dinner at our rustic dinning room built with rocks and mud.

    Day 3 Puca Cocha/Ananta/Kayrawiri

    Get ready for a challenge! We begin the day at Puca Cocha pass (5051), and revel in the vibrant colors of the surrounding mountains, plus an awe-inspiring view of Mount Ausangate and glacier lakes. Next, explore the untouched Red Mountain valley where llamas graze up close. Savor a delicious lunch at our dinning room before conquering Warmi Saya pass (15,090ft-4500m-14,000feet ) for a stunning view of Rainbow Mountain… we’re almost there!

    Then make your way downhill to circle the lake and continue down a Peruvian flat until you reach camp. If weather permits, venture out to witness a magical rainbow mountain sunset!

    Day 4 Kayrawiri/Rainbow Mountain/ Red Valley/Cusco

    Get ready for a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Start your day off with a hot cup of coca tea delivered to your tent and set out on an adventure. Walk for 45 minutes until you reach Rainbow Mountain, where you can take in the beauty of the area and snap some photos. Depending on your speed, spend 30 minutes to an hour exploring the mountain before continuing on to Red Valley. Then make your way back to civilization and enjoy a delicious last supper with your horseman and chef before boarding the van for Cusco. You’ll arrive at your hotel around 03:00 pm, completing this amazing journey!

    May I change departure date?

    Yes, it is possible. But you should let us know 48 hours in advance.

    Is it necessary to bring my original passport on the Ausangate Trek 4 Days? 

    If you want to remember your visit to Rainbow Mountain for years to come, make sure to bring along your passport! It's not a requirement for visiting the mountain, but having a stamp on your passport is an awesome addition to your experience. Plus, it only costs 2 soles.

    Is it possible to stay in the Sacred Valley for my 4 days Ausangate Trek?

    We don't recommend staying in the Sacred Valley because our tour groups leave from Cusco and there's an additional $30 fee for picking you up earlier. However, if you do choose to stay in the Sacred Valley, we'll make sure to pick you up one hour before our regular departure time from Cusco.
