We begin our day with pick-up from your hotel at 4:00am and begin our 3hr hour drive to the village of Qesuno. Here we enjoy a light breakfast prepared by your chef as the team begins to pack for our gear for the next two days. After breakfast, we continue towards the trailhead and being our adventure towards the beautiful Ausangate mountain. We pass through lush green valleys and see hundreds of alpacas roaming around the land.We continue this hike for about 4hours until we reach the Puccacocha pass. Here you will enjoy 360 views of the beautiful and impressive Ausangate mountain and the glacial lakes below. This is where you want to take out your camera and fire away with your shots! After completing the pass, we take a break to enjoy lunch and refuel for the second half of the hike. You’ll have some time to relax before beginning back up again.
After 2hrs of hiking, we arrive to Anata, which will be our campsite for the night. Enjoy a relaxing evening by taking photos in the nearby area or taking a nap before having dinner cooked up and served by our chef. We recommend drinking some coca tea to assist in your relaxing and ease your transition into the higher elevation. After dinner, you can opt in to play cards or prepare for some night photography. Be prepared to witness an insane amounts of stars and constellations in the sky before heading back to your tent to rest.
