Day 1: Arrive to La Paz

Welcome to the beautiful country of Bolivia!

We are glad to have you join us on this adventure. Arrive to the great city of La Paz, and enjoy a free day to explore the city. Remember to drink plenty of coca tea and/or take altitude pills.

Day 2: La Paz to Copacabana

Depart early morning to Copacabana.

Arrive mid-afternoon and explore small town. Opt in for lunch (not included) in the area before embarking on a shared boat ride to the beautiful and cultural island of Isla del Sol, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hike up to ruins of Challapamba and Chinkana and learn the history of each location.

Wake up to a morning hike down to the pier. Boat transfer back from Isla del Sol to Copacabana and connecting bus back to La Paz. Grab some dinner nearby before jumping on overnight bus to Uyuni.

Day 5: Uyuni to San Juan

Arrive around 6:30am to Uyuni. Opt in for early breakfast. We being the day at 10:00 and make our way to the train cemetery just minutes from the town. Explore the area and climb aboard for some great photos. Then head to the small town of Colchani for some last minute shopping and gifting purchasing. After Colchani, we make our way to Playa Blanca for lunch and then head to the Uyuni Salt flats for some perspective fun! Following the salt flats, we visit the beautiful and large Incahuasi Island (ticket entrances not included). End the day in the town of San Juan for dinner and rest.

Day 6: Desert Siloli to Huallajara

After an early breakfast, the group makes departs and crosses the Chiguana Salt Flats to visit Cañapa, Edionda, and Blanca lagoons. Enjoy a nice picnic lunch in the middle of the desert around noon. Soon after head to the majestic and jaw dropping Red Lagoon and finish day 2 by visiting Siloli Desert and million year old Tree Stone. Arrive to Huallajara for dinner and rest.

Earl breakfast at 4:30am. Start our day by heading to the other worldly landscapes of the Sol de Mañana Geyser. After catching sunrise at the geysers, head to the volcanic hot springs of the desert. Opt in to take a dip in the refreshing and mineral rich waters (ticket entrance not included). Once everyone is ready to go, you move forward to the mesmerizing Green Lagoon and enjoy a nice picnic lunch. Finally visit Rocks Valley, Villamar, and San Cristabol town before heading back to Uyuni and arriving at 5:00pm. Grab dinner before next bus departure to Potosi departing at 7:00pm and arriving at 10:00pm.

Day 8: Colonial City of Potosi

Free half day to explore the city of Potosi.

Today is the day! We wake up early to begin our hike to the view point of Rainbow Mountain for sunrise. After a light breakfast, we gear up and make our way towards the trail. After 3.5 hrs of hiking, you’ve made it to the summit – you made it! Enjoy the 360 degree view of the red valley, snow peaked mountains and looming Ausangate Mountain in the distance. Best part is that we arrive before all the other travel companies so we have the area completely to ourselves, truly a magical time! After taking our photos and enjoying the view, we have the option to visit the red valley (an additional 1hr hike) before making our way back to our transfer back to Cusco. Once we arrive to the trailhead, after 2hrs of hiking downhill, we enjoy our box lunches prepared by our chefs before continuing on our 3hr transfer back to Cusco. We conclude the day by dropping you off at your hotel by 4:00pm / 4:30pm depending on the traffic.
