Day 1 La Paz/Copacabana/Calvario
Good morning adventurer! After breakfast, we’ll pick you up from the hotel at 9 am. On the way, we will have a couple of stops to take pictures and enjoy our mid-morning snack. On the way, we will have impressive views of the Cordillera Real, a chain of snow-capped mountains, views of the Bolivian altiplano and towns surrounding the largest lake in South America. Around 11:30 am, we will cross the ‘Strait of Tiquina’, 10 min. in a very small boat to the other side of the shore. Finally, we will arrive at our destination at 1 pm.!
The adventure starts here! We will enjoy a local lunch (one of the most recommended options is the fish called ‘Pejerrey’ from Lake Titicaca), we will visit the popular Copacabana market where we will appreciate hundreds of merchants selling dairy products but also an exquisite snack called ‘Pasank’ alla’ (corn baked with natural caramel), be very careful! 99% of our tourists have become addicted to these popcorns. Then we’ll explore the Basilica of Our Lady of Copacabana, built at the foot of a small steep hill, sacred to the Inca and known as the Temple of Sun, it remains one of the two main places of importance to the indigenous peoples and Catholics alike, You will love its architectonic style!
After leaving our bags at the hostel, at 4:45 p.m., we began our expedition through the ‘Calvario de Copacabana’, an uphill trek of approximately 40 min. We will lose a few extra kilos, however, we can assure you that every drop of sweat is worth it! We will appreciate the sunset with the best view of Copacabana and we will end the day with a light dinner.

Day 2 Copacabana/Isla de la Luna/Isla del Sol
Are you ready to explore the mystic Lake Titicaca? We start the day at 8:30 am (you can leave your luggage at the hotel and pick it up when you return to Copacabana) Arriving at the shore, a private boat awaits us. All aboard! Our adventure through the lake will last approximately 3 hours, so make sure you have the sunscreen ready all the time. Our first destination will be the majestic and hidden Island of the Moon, legends in Inca mythology referring to the island as the location where Viracocha commanded the rising of the moon. Archeological ruins of an Inca nunnery were found on the eastern shore. We will return to the boat to go to our main destination.
We will arrive at the edge of the village of Yumani (south side of the island). We will enjoy an Aymara buffet called ‘Apthapi’, a mix of potatoes, vegetables, meats, cheese and traditional eggs from the highland.
The Island of the Sun is Mystic because the Inca ‘Manco Cápac’ is said to have emerged from a prominent crag in a large sandstone outcrop known as Titi Qala. Manco Cápac is the son of Inti the Andean deity identified as the sun. The ancient people of the province were without light in the sky for many days and grew frightened of the darkness. Finally, the people saw the Sun emerge from the crag and believed it was the Sun’s dwelling place.
Ready for workout? We start our uphill trek of approximately 2 hours, on the way we will visit the stands of Yumani, the fountain of the eternal youth, the Andean pharmacies and above all, wonderful landscapes of 360 degrees! Worth every drop of sweat we promise you. Arriving at the top, we will settle in our Hotel to rest. The guide will coordinate your dinner at 7:30 p.m.

Day 3 Isla del Sol/Copacabana/La Paz
The adventure awaits! After enjoying our breakfast at the hostel, We start the day at 8 am we’ll go to a lookout and ‘apacheta’ (sacred place of Aymara rituals) where we will enjoy a spiritual moment. Our trip continues with a 1-hour trek to the Inca ruins of ‘Pilko Kaina’ best-known site is the two-level Inca Palace, thought to have been constructed by the Incan emperor, Tupac-Yupanq. We will have a mystic-cultural interpretation with our local guide.
We return by boat to the Floating Islands to enjoy a lunch, freshly caught trout (for those who have a different diet, lunch will be directly in Copacabana). There are more than 10 floating islands in the area, the design of each one is very interesting. Arriving in Copacabana we have to pick up our luggage and take the transport to the city of La Paz arriving around 6 pm.

Yes, it exists, especially in the experience, in the views and in the service (meals in general). We definitely recommend the upgraded hotel services
