What You Can't Miss

When is the best time to visit Iguazu Falls?
The falls run all year. Water volume peaks between December and March, while cooler months from May to September bring fewer crowds and easier walking weather. Any season delivers the spectacle — only the intensity changes.
Argentine side or Brazilian side?
They show you different things. The Argentine side puts you on walkways among the falls, including the platform over the Devil's Throat. The Brazilian side gives the wide panoramic view of the whole system. Travellers with two days usually do both.
How many days do I need?
Two full days is the comfortable answer, one per side. With a single day, choose the Argentine side for the walkways and the Devil's Throat.

Did You Know That...

  • How many waterfalls? Around 275 separate drops along nearly 3 km
  • The Devil's Throat The largest fall plunges roughly 80 m in a U-shaped gorge
  • Two countries, one river The falls sit on the border between Argentina and Brazil
  • World Heritage Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the 1980s
