    Itinerary

    Day 1 Huaraz/Llamac/Rondoy

Pack your bags and get ready for an amazing adventure! We’ll leave Huaraz bright and early at 9am, and drive south towards the wild paramo of the Conococha Pass (4500m) to gain our first glimpse of the majestic Huayhuash Range. Seven of Peru’s highest summits will amaze us on our descent to the small town of Llamac.

Continue going up through Pocpa Valley, and stop at the typical peasant town of Pocpa (3600m), where we can grab some refreshing drinks before finishing off our five-hour journey at Pallca. From here, it’s only a half hour drive to Rondoy Campsite (4100m), set against a spectacular backdrop of Ninashanca Mountain (5607m) and Rondoy Peak (5870m). Take in the views from Rondoy as you settle in for the night, after a total journey of around 167km and 6 hours driving.

    Meals Included: Lunch & Dinner

    Day 2 Rondoy/ Sambunya Pass 4750/ Jahuacocha

Jumpstart your morning with a delicious breakfast at our camp site, then prepare for an epic hike to Sambunya Pass (4750m). The sun will be shining as you ascend the gentle slope, and after approximately three hours of trekking the magnificent mountain views will be revealed! Stop for a few minutes to take it all in, and snap some photos if the wind isn’t too strong.

Make your way down from the pass and witness the stunning turquoise waters of Soltero Cocha lake before arriving at Jahuacocha – probably one of Peru’s most photogenic lakes. Set up camp here and enjoy dinner beneath an unforgettable night sky. Overnight stay at Camp Jahuaccha (4200m).

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

    Day 3 Jahuacocha/ Rasac / Rest Day

Wake up feeling refreshed and renewed as you take in the calm of the beautiful camp site. Go fishing or take a leisurely hike around the lake, then make your way to Rasac Lake where you’ll discover more beautiful, serene views. After soaking up all this natural beauty, we’ll head on to Solterococha Lake for two unforgettable experiences in one day before returning to Camp Jahuaccha. Enjoy dinner surrounded by the stunning scenery and spend the night under the stars at our wonderful campsite.

    Day 4 Jahuacoocha/Llamac/Huaraz

Get ready for the longest and most beautiful trek yet! We’ll start with an easy ascent up to Pampallamac, bidding farewell to Huayhuash Mountains as we go. Take a break to linger over lunch, then make our way down to Llamac Town where we should arrive by early afternoon. We’ll drive alongside the Llamac River until it joins the Pacllon River at Timpoc, then take the path up to Chiquian.
