Day 1 Cusco/ Tinqui/ Upis
Begin your journey at 6 am with a private van ride to the base of majestic Ausangate Mountain. Experience the unique beauty of remote villages, and cross multiple streams as you make your way to Upis Campsite. Admire sunsets over the glacier from comfortable private cabins, enjoy delicious meals prepared by our cook, and opt for an optional two-hour hike to Upis Lake or a relaxing bath in the hot springs. Marvel at the night sky and create lasting memories as you bask in your very first starry night sky.

Day 2 Upis/ Puca Cocha
Start your day with a delivered cup of coca tea or coffee and delicious breakfast. Hike up to Arapa pass (4968m) while taking in breathtaking views of local farmers, alpacas, and the snowy Ausangate Mountain. If lucky, you may spot condors, chinchillas, and vicuñas along the way. After arriving at Pucacocha campsite, marvel at the high mountains and glaciers crashing into tarns below. Tents are set up for changing clothes, napping and enjoying meals prepared by our professional chef. Spend your afternoon exploring the lakes or hiking to the viewpoint for an unforgettable photo opportunity of Ausangate Mountain with lakes below.

Day 3 Puca Cocha/Ananta/ Qeullacocha
Embark on a challenging journey today, beginning with Puca Qocha pass (5051). Surround yourself with vibrant, colorful mountains and spectacular views of the majestic Ausangate Mountain and glacier lakes. Venture into the untouched landscapes of the Red Mountain Valley and watch llamas grazing nearby. After a delicious lunch at Ananta, continue your ascent to Surini Pass (15,090ft-4500m-14,000feet) where you will be met with an incredible view of Rainbow Mountain in the distance.
Follow the path downhill and along a Peruvian flat until arriving at camp where you can take shelter for the night. If energetic enough, climb to Rainbow Mountain for the most beautiful sunset you’ll ever witness.

Day 4 Qeullacocha/ Rainbow Mountain/Alqatari
Start your morning with a cup of coca tea delivered to your tent, then embark on a 45 minute hike to the majestic Rainbow Mountain. Explore and take in the sights for 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your trekking speed and weather conditions. After admiring the beauty of Rainbow Mountain for about one hour, make your way to Red Valley on an adventure that takes another 1 hour round trip. Finally, hike down for 3 hours to Alqatari campsite, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch before settling in for the night in our shelter.

Day 5 Alqatari/Lake Ausangate /Palomani Pass/Surapamapa
Today is the day to reach the highest point of your entire hike: Palomani Pass. After a delicious breakfast, set off on a 3 hour trek towards the pass. Take in the beautiful colored lakes, swampy green pampas, and small villages along the way. Observe alpacas and llamas grazing nearby and locals wearing their traditional garments. Once at Palomani Pass, feast your eyes on a captivating red lake with views of Vilcanota chane. Afterwards, descend to Huchuy Pinaya for lunch before continuing to Surapampa – your home for the night – where you will see many viscachas perched atop rocks in its vicinity.

Day 6 Surapamapa/7 lakes of Ausangate/ Pacchanta/Cusco
Start your day with a journey back to Cusco while enjoying the beauty of the seven lakes of Ausangate and the surrounding breathtaking landscapes. Take a plunge into the waters at least once in your life, and savor the magnificent views of snow-capped Ausangate Mountain from a near and new angle. Head on to Pacchanta’s hot springs for a warm soak while admiring the picturesque mountain range. After your last supper, bid farewell to your horseman and chef before heading home; be back in Cusco by 6pm sharp!

Can I change the departure date?
Yes, you can. But please let us know 48 hours in advance.
Is it necessary to bring my original passport on the Ausangate Trek 6 Days?
If you want to remember your visit to Rainbow Mountain for years to come, make sure to bring along your passport! It's not a requirement for visiting the mountain, but having a stamp on your passport is an awesome addition to your experience. Plus, it only costs 2 soles.
Is it possible to stay in the Sacred Valley foy my 6 Days Ausangate Trek?
We don't recommend staying in the Sacred Valley because our tour groups leave from Cusco and there's an additional $30 fee for picking you up earlier. However, if you do choose to stay in the Sacred Valley, we'll make sure to pick you up one hour before our regular departure time from Cusco.

99% of the reservations are usually confirmed, however, if there is the availability of hotels, services, or others, we will offer an alternative of dates, lodging, or services. In the event that we are unable to help, full refund policies apply.
