Day 1 Cusco/Ocongate/Tinqui / Upis
Get ready to experience the best of the Andes with Ausangate Trek 5 Days! Set off from Cusco in a private van and make stops at Urcos, Tinqui, and Upis Pampa. Explore a local market before embarking on an expedition out of Quinsapucyu and reaching Upis Huarmisaya. Admire breathtaking views of Mount Ausangate and meet traditional locals wearing their costumes. Enjoy a delicious meal prepared by your chef at the campsite and take part in activities such as hiking or bathing in a hot spring at Upis Lake, only 2 hours away.

Day 2 Upis / Puca Cocha/Ananta
Wake up to a refreshing cup of coca tea in your cabin, then pack your belongings and get ready to explore the Andes. Climb uphill to Arapa pass (4958 m) before heading down to Lake Pucacocha for lunch. The journey continues upwards toward Pucacocha pass (5000 m), before descending for a couple of hours to Ananta where you’ll spend the night in mountain huts. On the way, take in breathtaking views of glaciers, rivers, small lakes, alpacas, herders and llamas. All while enjoying the expertise of an experienced guide!

Day 3 Ananta/ Rainbow Mountain /Ausangate Cocha
Get ready for a once-in-a-lifetime experience in the Andes! Awaken at 4:00 am with a revitalizing cup of coca tea and enjoy a light breakfast. Trek up to Surini pass (5051m), where you’ll be surrounded by vibrant mountain views, including the imposing Rainbow Mountain. Make your way downward through a lake and continue with a climb onto Peruvian flat to reach Rainbow Mountain. Admire its amazing colors, then head down for two hours to Alqatari for lunch, dinner, and an overnight stay in mountain huts. Along the way explore small villages and meet llamas and alpacas!

Day 4 Ausangate Cocha/ Quinsacocha/ Jampa
Climb to the highest point of the Ausangate trail, Palomani Pass (5300m) and be surrounded by majestic canyons and valleys. Enjoy the inspiring views of glaciers, bubbling streams, rivers, red lakes and wildlife such as chinchillas, alpacas and llamas. Take a break at Huchuy Phinaya for lunch before heading to the Surapampa campsite for an unforgettable experience in the Rocky area watching chinchillas perched on the rocks!

Day 5 Jampa/Pacchanta/ Cusco
Get ready for an exhilarating adventure! Hike up the last pass to get unbeatable views of glacier peaks and the 7 lakes of Ausangate, followed by a well-deserved lunch at Pacchanta village. Then, relax in a natural hot springs with a beer and pick up some handmade handicrafts from locals. Finally, hop on your private van and drive back to Cusco arriving at your hotel around 6 pm.

May I change my departure date?
Yes, it is possible. But you should let us know 48 hours in advance.
It is necessary to bring my Original Passport on the Ausangate Trek 5 Days?
If you want to remember your visit to Rainbow Mountain for years to come, make sure to bring along your passport! It's not a requirement for visiting the mountain, but having a stamp on your passport is an awesome addition to your experience. Plus, it only costs 2 soles.
Is it possible to stay in the Sacred Valley for my Ausangate Trek 5 Days?
We don't recommend staying in the Sacred Valley because our tour groups leave from Cusco and there's an additional $30 fee for picking you up earlier. However, if you do choose to stay in the Sacred Valley, we'll make sure to pick you up one hour before our regular departure time from Cusco.
