    Day 1 Cusco/Tinqui/Upis

    Leave Cusco bright and early, at 5 AM, for an exciting 3-hour journey to Upis Pampa. Along the way you’ll pass through Urcos and Tinqui Ocongate before reaching the village of Quinsapucyu. From there, a hike up to Upis Huarmisaya awaits with stunning views of Mount Ausangate and a chance to meet local farmers in their traditional costumes. After lunch at Upis, retire to your cabin then take a two hour round-trip hike to Upis Lake or take a dip in the hot springs nearby your campsite.

    Day 2 Upis/Puca Cocha/Ananta

    Start your journey with a coca tea or coffee delivered to your cabin at 5 am, followed by a delicious breakfast. Hike up to Arapa Pass (4989 masl), and enjoy an amazing view of colorful mountains. Along the way observe llamas, alpacas and the snow-capped Ausangate with an English speaking guide. If you’re lucky, spot condors, chinchillas, and vicuñas! Later, hike up to Pucacocha Pass for a gorgeous view of Ausangate Mountain with 3 lakes below before descending to Ananta where you’ll spend the night in mountain huts and tents set up for changing and resting. Enjoy dinner prepared by a professional chef at the end of the day.

    Day 3 Ananta/Rainbow Mountain/Qesuno/Cusco

    Begin your journey at 03:45 am with coca tea delivered to your tent. Then ascend Ananta Pass (15,090ft-4500m-14,000feet) and witness the amazing Rainbow Mountain in the distance. Circle a lake and walk a Peruvian flat before reaching the final uphill to Rainbow Mountain for 360 views of its stunning landscape. Enjoy the vistas before visiting the Red Valley. Descend for an hour on horseback to reach a bus station, then drive another 3 hours back to your hotel around 5 pm.

    Can I change my departure date?

    Yes, you can. But please let us know 48 hours in advance.

    Is it necessary to bring my original passport on the Ausangate Trek 3 Days?

    If you want to remember your visit to Rainbow Mountain for years to come, make sure to bring along your passport! It's not a requirement for visiting the mountain, but having a stamp on your passport is an awesome addition to your experience. Plus, it only costs 2 soles.

    Is it possible to stay in the Sacred Valley foy my 3 Days Ausangate Trek?

    We don't recommend staying in the Sacred Valley because our tour groups leave from Cusco and there's an additional $30 fee for picking you up earlier. However, if you do choose to stay in the Sacred Valley, we'll make sure to pick you up one hour before our regular departure time from Cusco.

    Is the terrain difficult?

    The trek does involve some challenging terrain and elevation changes but experienced local guides are always on hand to support you if needed.
