    Day 1 Cusco/Tinqui/ Upis

    Beginning with a 6am pick-up and 3 hour private van ride to the trailhead of exquisite Ausangate Mountain. Enjoy the serene atmosphere while passing through remote villages, stream crossings, and ultimately arriving at the small town of Upis where you can spend the night in cozy cabins. Indulge in delicious lunch provided by our cook followed by the option to hike up to Upis Lake (2 hr round trip) or take a bath in hot springs. As dusk falls, don’t forget to savor your first starry night-an unforgettable experience!

    Start your day right with a warm cup of coca tea or coffee delivered to your cabin and a delicious breakfast. Today you’ll be marveling at the 7 lakes of Ausangate while admiring the breathtaking snow-capped mountain, Ausangate, on your right side. Make sure to stop by Pacchanta hot springs to enjoy the warmth of the water and the incredible views of Ausangate Mountain. Before heading back to Cusco, say goodbye to your horseman and chef after one last dinner together.

    You will arrive at your hotel by 5 PM.

    You must bring your original passport for the Ausangate Trek 2 Days. It is mandatory to have your passport with you when taking this trek.

    Is it possible to stay in Sacred Valley?

    We do not recommend staying in the Sacred Valley for your Ausangate Trek 2 Days as our tour groups depart from Cusco. If you choose to stay in the Sacred Valley and require us to pick you up, an additional $30 charge for transport will apply.
