Welcome to our Tatio Geysers tour! From 5 to 5:30, we start the tour by picking you up from the hotel in San Pedro de Atacama.
Start your day off with a bang as you set out from San Pedro de Atacama to experience the unforgettable Geyser del Tatio! Our journey is long, but arriving early will make it worth it – you won’t want to miss the incredible sight of sunrise within the geothermal wonderland. Entry into the park costs $15,000 per person, which must be paid at the gate.
Once inside, you’ll spend time admiring captivating steam rising from the Earth while exploring its various geysers with your VSA guide! Once out of the park, we’ll continue on to Geyser Blanco, where a solitary and unique geyser is bordered by a river. Enjoy a tasty breakfast in this jaw-dropping setting before heading back. On our return trip, we’ll also take some time looking for local wildlife like taguas, gayatas, ducks and small birds hanging around Bofedal Putana – you might even spot some foxes if you’re lucky! Don’t forget to hop over to Bofedal Machuca where thousands of flamingos flock during summer and autumn.
This 6-hour tour brings us back into town around noon. Though it can be done anytime throughout the year, keep in mind that winter temperatures drop as low as -20°C in some areas above 4km altitude so check the weather conditions before your experience.
